A multipurpose unit that allows the user to easily calculate Planck's constant, to measure the wavelength of coloured light, demonstrate colour light transmission through colour filters and show the diffraction patterns for various wavelengths of coloured light using a range of 4 LEDs (Red, Yellow, Green and Blue) covering the light range from deep blue at 470nm to near IR at 940nm.
Pack of 10 24V 21W Small Bayonet Cap (SBC) Radial Filament Lamps.
Our additional Pylons pack contains 5 thick card sheets which once cut-out produces 5 pylons to be used in conjunction with our National Grid Kit to give your pupils a clearer explanation on how the experiment works.
Other equipment needed is two standard 4mm plugged leads and a power supply capable of delivering 2-3 volts at 1 amp.

The Irwin Tapped Battery Holder holds 4 x D (R20) batteries with outputs at 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6V. Batteries and leads not supplied. Each output has a 4mm socket. Manufactured in the UK from premium strong perspex.

Our mini national grid system is a very cost-effective way of teaching the principles used by the National Grid to supply electrical power to our homes. This kit comprises two printed circuit boards and a set of "HT" leads to interconnect them and is SELV (Safety /Separated Extra Low-Voltage) classed, which means that no part of the system is at more than 50 volts - which means it is very safe and suitable for student use. The system allows the user to compare electrical transmission at low and high voltages and the results are displayed by the brightness of the two on-board MES lamps which are supplied.
